What Is Rakuten Cash Back?
Formerly known as Ebates, Rakuten is an online shopping portal that allows you to earn cash back at most online stores. It is free to join and in fact, they will give you a $30 Sign Up Bonus just for signing up and shopping. To sign up, simply create an account with an email address and password. Then, download the browser extension on your device. When you shop online from a store within Rakuten's partner network, activate the browser extension and the cash back earnings will automatically calculate. Rakuten can also be used for in-store purchases when you download the app on your phone.
Using Rakuten will earn you anywhere from 1% to 25% cash back on your purchase. The browser extension will also alert you to active promo codes you can use to save on your purchase. In addition to my tidy product shopping, I use Rakuten for all of my travel arrangements and it allows me to save hundreds on my trips.
On a quarterly basis, Rakuten will pay out the cash back you earned. You can either provide a PayPal account and they will deposit the cash back or they can mail you a physical check.
